Please read carefully the terms and conditions before enrolling.

General terms and conditions

1.Conditions of registration:

By making the payment to book a course, the student agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein.

The course fees include:
Registration fees, class book, folder, notebook and pen, face-to-face test (if necessary), and final course certificate.

The course fees do not include:
Transfer to / from the airport, travel insurance, extraordinary cultural activities organized or managed by the school, registration fee for international exams.

2.Holidays:

The days of national and local (Bilbao) holidays 2025 are as follows:

  • January 1st
  • January 6th
  • April 17th, 18th, 21th
  • May 1st
  • July 25th
  • July 31st
  • August 15th
  • August 22nd
  • December 8th
  • December 25th

These days the school will be closed and therefore no classes will take place. 

3.Enrollment and payment:

A registration fee of 50 € is required to book a course. The client needs to send the proof of payment to info@eledebilbao.com Upon receipt of the registration form, ELE de Bilbao will e-mail a confirmation of the booking along with the details of the course fee. Once the client receives confirmation of the registration by ELE de Bilbao, s/he has to pay for the full course at least one week before it starts.

Payment is accepted only in Euros.

ELE de Bilbao Spanish School is not responsible for any charges on the bank transfer. Payments must be received in full amount.

Discounts and promotions are only valid for full course payments. ELE de Bilbao Spanish School reserves the right to cancel the registration if the payment is not made within the stipulated time period.

4.Courses:

Number of students per group class: min 4 / max 10

ELE de Bilbao Spanish School will assign the student to a group suitable for his/her level. Any change of level or time must be approved by the school and is subjected to availability.

We will inform the student on his/her schedule at the time of registration. However, we reserve the right to change it in accordance with our organizational needs.

Course attendance and group maintenance:

It is the responsibility of the student to attend classes. If he/she does not attend at least 80% of the course, ELE de Bilbao Spanish School reserves the right to assign the student to a different group and level if necessary. The school reserves the right to expel students whose behavior is unacceptable, disruptive or preventing the smooth running of the course.

Private classes and DELE diagnosis: cancellations and expiration

In case of cancellation of a private class/DELEdiagnosis or schedule change, it may be made up only if the administration department is informed through a written communication (email) 24 hours before (or a business day) the start of the class in question. With less than 24 hours notice, the class cannot be made up later on. The same conditions will be applied for the DELE diagnosis.

The pack and any version of the private classes will have an expiration of six months from the day the client contracts it. Once the six months have passed, it is not possible to schedule, nor will a refund be offered to the client for the classes that are missing from the contracted pack.

Holidays:

Classes that coincide with national or local holidays (Bilbao) will not be made up and will not be reimbursed, unless there is more than one holiday in the same week. In that case, in a regular or DELE preparation course, the school will reschedule both classes. In the case of an intensive course, one of the two days of class will be rescheduled. All rescheduling will be the responsibility of the school, will be notified in advance by mail, and are non-negotiable.

Cancellation, delay or interruption of a course: 

The students who wish to temporarily interrupt their course for holiday must inform the school at least 15 days before the interruption of the course. This interruption is subject to the approval of the school.

If the cancellation by the student is received 7 days before the course starting date or more, ELE de Bilbao will refund the total cost of the program (if the payment has been made in advance) except for the registration fee. If the student wishes to postpone the course for well-founded reasons, they must notify ELE de Bilbao in writing so that the course can be rescheduled within the following 6 months. The rescheduling will be subject to the conditions of ELE de Bilbao, not ensuring the same schedule as the one originally contracted. The client must confirm within those 6 months the date where they want to reschedule the course, notifying them in writing 15 days in advance.

If the cancellation is received less than a week before the course starting date, ELE de Bilbao Spanish School will not refund any amount, but the student will be entitled to take the course later (when possible according the level and amount of students). The school will communicate the rescheduling option by email. If there is a price update within a period of time, the student must pay the difference.

If ELE de Bilbao Spanish School is who cancelled or interrupt a course, the amount of the course and enrollment will be completely refunded.

No cancellation made through a non-written communication will be accepted. For security reasons, you cannot make cancellations by phone.

Under no circumstances ELE de Bilbao will refund the mooney of the course once it has begun.

For students who have received a letter of invitation and visa has been denied, the registration fee will not be refunded. ELE de Bilbao Spanish School is not responsible for any charges on the bank transfer when refunding (pay-back) tuition payment. The refund will be made when presenting an official letter from the consulate where the student’s name, passport number and the type of visa requested (with date, stamp and signature) are clearly specified.  Under no circumstances will refunds be provided to students who have applied for and received a certificate of registration which may have been used to obtain a visa or its renewal.

5.Visa:

European Union Citizens do not need any visa to attend the courses. Non-EU citizens (countries outside the European Union) must obtain information on the requirements for studying in Spain at a Spanish Embassy or Consulate.  To obtain information, visit the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The student is responsible at all times of the process of visa application, ELE de Bilbao Spanish School is never responsible in case of visa refusal.

6.Insurance:

All of the students of our courses stay covered by a insurance policy of civil responsibility. ELE de Bilbao Spanish School is not responsible for accidents that happen outside of the school (for example: in excursions), the same applies in regards to the theft or loss of personal items in our facilities. For this reason, we recommend you make insurance policies in your country of origin.

Medical insurance: The citizens of the European Union are insured by the state insurance fund for accidents and diseases. Before traveling, you must apply for the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) of the local office of your insurance.
Those who are not citizens of the EU need to apply for an international insurance policy that is valid in Spain.


Liability insurance (student): ELE de Bilbao Spanish School strongly advises to verify that all students have adequate liability insurance (covering cases of claims filed against them).

Liability insurance (company): ELE de Bilbao Spanish School has accident insurance and liability insurance that covers possible incidents and minor accidents at school.

Ownership: ELE de Bilbao Spanish School does not accept any liability for loss or damage both within ELE de Bilbao Spanish School.

7.Admission or expulsion:

In the case of serious disciplinary problems, repeated misconduct or violation of Spanish law, the student will be expelled from school without the right to any refund.

Violating or disrespecting other students or employees of ELE de Bilbao (eg for religious, gender or sexual orientation) may lead to the expulsion of the student.

In case damages are caused to third parties, all the expenses claimed from ELE de Bilbao Spanish School that are caused by the above-mentioned incident will be charged to the student, who is not entitled to any further claims.

Complaint forms according to the official model are available from the school, to the students or their legal representatives.

8.Personal data:

In accordance with Law 15/1999 on Protection of Personal Data, we inform the student that, by signing the corresponding document, he/she allows the data provided in the registration process to be included in a file owned by ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S.L. (ELE de Bilbao Spanish School). This file is aimed to the academic, financial and administrative management of the student, which is necessary for the organization and development of the training activities in ELE de Bilbao Spanish School.

Furthermore, we report that during the time that the student is enrolled in the center, pictures of the students can be taken and used in the composition of graphics or video graphic archives, such as class photograph and other material, in order to inform about and / or promote various activities organized by the School through publications on paper or inclusion in the Web site www.eledebilbao.com, on social networks and by publishing information brochures of ELE de Bilbao Spanish School, unless stated otherwise by the student on his/her arrival at the school.

The image processing of the student is made with serious respect for the person, in accordance with the Organic Law 1/1982, of May 5, on the Civil Protection of the right to honor, personal and family privacy, and personal image, eliminating any pictures or films that may undermine these fundamental rights. The images are not used for purposes other than those expressed, nor are transferred to third parties, unless authorized treatment.

Disclosing and providing personal data. Payment of tuition fees through banks or financial institutions necessarily involves the communication of personal data to such entities. In turn, this data will be transferred to the ministries or agencies, schools or institutions collaborating in our programs. Likewise, data requests coming from the public administration to ELE de Bilbao Spanish School will be attended. In any case, assignments will be made in a regulated way, the data provided for purposes other than those on which collection can not be used.

Exercise of rights. With regard to the personal data provided, the student can exercise their rights of access, rectification and cancellation by sending a letter to ELE de Bilbao Spanish School Av. Lehendakari Aguirre, 29, 4ª dch. 48014. Bilbao (Biscay), Spain. Or via e-mail to the following address: info@eledebilbao.com. Similarly, to the above mentioned addresses, the students may manifest at any time, opposition for ELE de Bilbao Spanish School, and entities directly related to it, to send any commercial communications.

 

CONTRACTING OF DIGITAL CONTENT

Below are the contractual conditions that will govern the contracting of digital content through the website www.eledebilbao.com, property of ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S. L. (hereinafter, the provider or ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S. L.). The acceptance of the conditions implies that the user has read, understands and understands what is stated here; is a person with sufficient capacity to buy, and assumes all the obligations set forth herein.

These Conditions will have an indefinite validity period and will be applicable to all purchases made through the provider’s website.

ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S. L. reserves the right to unilaterally modify these Terms and Conditions, without this affecting the goods or promotions that were acquired prior to the modification.

Identity of the parties

On the one hand, the supplier of the goods contracted by the user is ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S. L., with CIF B02824027, registered office at Av. Lehendakari Aguirre, 29, 4ª dch. 48014. Bilbao and email: info@eledebilbao.com

And on the other, the user, registered on the website by means of a username and password, over which they have full responsibility for use and custody, being responsible for the veracity of the personal data provided to the provider.

Object

These Terms and Conditions are intended to regulate the contractual relationship of sale born between the provider and the user at the time the latter accepts the corresponding box during the online contracting process.

The contractual relationship of sale entails the delivery, in exchange for a certain price and publicly displayed through the website, of content in digital format.

Intellectual Property Rights

ELE DE BILBAO SPANISH SCHOOL S. L. is the owner of the intellectual property rights of the digital content offered on its website. The exploitation of the digital content offered without the express consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

The consumption of said digital content does not imply in any case the waiver, transmission, license or total or partial transfer of said rights by its owner. The user undertakes not to reproduce, copy, distribute or publicly communicate the digital content acquired without the express consent of the owner.

Hiring procedure

In order to access the digital content by the provider, the user must register through the website by creating a user account. For this, you must freely and voluntarily provide the personal data that will be required.

The user will select a username and a password, committing to make diligent use of them and not to make them available to third parties, as well as to notify the provider of the loss or theft of the same or possible access by an unauthorized third party, in such a way that it proceeds to the immediate blockade.

The user may not choose as user name words that are intended to confuse others by identifying him as an integral member of the provider, as well as profanity, insulting expressions and, in general, contrary to the law or the requirements of morality and good manners.

Once the user account has been created, it is reported that in accordance with the requirements of art. 27 of Law 34/2002 on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce, the contracting procedure will follow the following steps:

-Summary (of the shopping cart).
-Registration (user authentication and account registration).
-Payment (choice of payment method).
-Confirmation (completion of the order).

The provider’s purchase platform will inform the user, once the purchase procedure has been completed, by email about all the characteristics of the order.

Price and validity period of the offer

The prices indicated with respect to each digital content include the Value Added Tax (VAT) or other taxes that may be applicable, and in any case they will be expressed in the Euro currency (€).

The prices applicable to each digital content will be those published on the website and applied automatically by the contracting process in its last phase.

The client assumes that, in any case, the economic valuation of some of the digital content may vary in real time. In any case, this will always be previously communicated to the user.

The user may request the provider to receive an invoice for the purchase made; this service will have no cost to the user and will be provided digitally.

In any case, the order or reference number that was assigned and indicated in the purchase confirmation email must be indicated in the subject of the message.

Delivery of orders

The delivery of the digital content purchased will be made by email to the account provided by the user at the time of purchase. The provider does not assume any responsibility if the delivery of the digital content does not take place as a result of the data provided by the user being false, inaccurate or incomplete, or for technical reasons beyond the provider’s control.

Payment modalities

-With a credit or debit card through the Woocommerce Payments platform.

The provider will not store any credit card data, since these are entered by the user through a secure payment gateway, owned by the bank. The provider will only receive confirmation from said gateway that the payment has been made correctly in order to proceed with the shipment of the order.

Most credit and debit cards are supported, such as Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, etc.

This method of payment is immediate. Once the payment has been made, the provider, after verifying the data, will proceed to send the digital content acquired by the user.

This form of payment has no additional costs.

Right of withdrawal

The user of this website has access to the digital content acquired immediately after paying for it.

Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, indicates in its article 103, section m, that the right of withdrawal will not apply to contracts that refer to “the supply of digital content that is not provided on a material support when the execution has begun”, with the prior express consent of the consumer and with the knowledge on his part that, consequently, you lose your right of withdrawal.

Returns

The user will have the right to a refund of the amount paid for the digital content as long as its defective state, its malfunction or if it does not correspond to what was announced is proven.

The user must notify the supplier that they wish to return the digital content by email to info@eleebilbao.com, indicating the order number in the subject line.

The European Commission creates a platform for conflict resolution in electronic commerce. We inform customers of it.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These conditions will be governed or interpreted in accordance with Spanish legislation in what is not expressly established. The provider and the user agree to submit any dispute that may arise from the provision of digital content subject to these Terms and Conditions to the Courts and Tribunals of the provider’s domicile.

In the event that the user is domiciled outside of Spain, the provider and the user expressly waive any other forum, submitting to the Courts and Tribunals of the provider’s domicile.
